Ticketlayer applications
The applications organisers and staff use. Guides for each are being written; until then this page says what each one is and where its capabilities are documented for integrators.
Backstage
Backstage is the back-office application for event organisers and venue
managers: events, occurrences, pricing, venues and seating, sales channels
and their keys, themes, orders, customers, payments, webhooks, reports and
team access. It runs at backstage.<domain> with your organisation as the
subdomain and signs you in through Stagedoor.
Everything Backstage does is available to your own code through the Backstage API, and to an AI agent through the MCP server. Backstage can also be embedded in your own application as widgets; see the Backstage SDK.
Box Office
Box Office is for on-site sales and walk-up customers: fast ticket sales, cash and card, printed tickets, refunds and exchanges. Its operations are the Backstage API's staff carts, orders, payments and ticket templates; the Set up a box office scenario walks through them and through the hosted storefront every channel gets.
Go
Go is the scanning application for entry: scan QR codes, validate in real time, keep working offline, and see entry counts. Devices are paired to the organisation and driven by scan configurations; the same scenario covers the pairing and scanning operations, and the Devices section of the Backstage API has the full model.
