Layout Seats
Seats are individual bookable positions within a venue layout area. Each seat has a row, number, and category assignment-all the information needed for customers to find their place.
Seat Properties
- Row - The row identifier (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3)
- Number - The seat number within the row
- Category - The price tier this seat belongs to
- Coordinates - X/Y position for seat map display
- Status - Available, held, or blocked
Creating Seats
Three ways to populate seats:
- Generate - Auto-create rows with standard numbering
- Bulk import - Upload from CSV or external system
- Individual - Add one seat at a time for special positions
Seat Naming
Seat labels should match physical signage at the venue. Common patterns:
- Row A, Seat 1 - Theatre style
- Section 101, Row A, Seat 1 - Arena style
- Table 1, Seat A - Cabaret style
